Commodity prices fell sharply in June as markets responded to the US–Iran memorandum of understanding and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Our broadest commodities index declined 3.2%mth, with oil leading the sell‑off and coal the notable exception. Reflecting recent dynamics, we have revised our September quarter average Brent forecast lower to US$83/bbl.
