Ripple Gets MiCA CASP License Covering 30 EEA Countries

Ripple secured full MiCA CASP authorization from Luxembourg’s CSSF, allowing it to offer regulated crypto payments across 30 EEA countries. Its global licenses now top 75.

Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), has granted Ripple full Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorization. The approval completes Ripple’s compliance under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework and follows a preliminary approval the CSSF issued in June 2026.

Ripple Now Holds More Than 75 Regulatory Licenses Globally

The CASP authorization adds to an existing EU Electronic Money Institution license that Ripple already held. Combined with its registration with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), secured in January 2026, Ripple’s total global regulatory licenses now exceed 75.

Only 280 of 3,000+ Former License Holders Are MiCA-Authorized

As of July 3, the European Securities and Markets Authority’s (ESMA) MiCA register listed 280 authorized firms, a fraction of the more than 3,000 companies that had operated under national regimes, according to Trezor Chief Commercial Officer Danny Sanders.

Ripple joins Kraken, Coinbase, OKX, and Crypto(dot)com among the major crypto firms that have received CASP authorization to date. Binance, which holds the largest share of global crypto trading volume, entered the post-transition period without MiCA authorization after withdrawing its Greek license application before the July 1 deadline.
