Ripple has secured full authorisation as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).

The approval confirms the company is compliant with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, allowing it to offer regulated crypto payments across the European Economic Area (EEA).

The authorisation follows a preliminary approval granted in June 2026.

This new CASP status, combined with Ripple’s existing European Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, enables the company to provide its crypto payments product to financial institutions and corporate clients across the EEA.

“This CASP authorisation means Ripple enters the post-transitional MiCA era fully compliant and ready to scale,”

said Cassie Craddock, Managing Director for the UK and Europe at Ripple.

Craddock said institutions across Europe are looking for regulated partners to build digital asset services, and Ripple is ready to meet that demand.

The Luxembourg approval is part of a broader regulatory strategy for Ripple.

The company states it currently holds more than 75 regulatory licenses globally.
