Marula Mining (AQSE: MARU A2X: MAR) has appointed Kwemvelo Concepts as its exclusive external commodities trading desk as the company builds out its commercial infrastructure.
Kwemvelo is a South African commercial advisory company established in 2016, providing transaction support, contract assurance, due diligence, risk management and commercial governance services across Africa.
Under the engagement, Kwemvelo will support Marula through an integrated commercial growth framework designed to strengthen market access, transaction execution and governance.

The appointment comes as Marula continues its transition into a larger multi-asset critical minerals producer.
Kwemvelo’s role will include commercial market development, trading desk support, buyer and offtake engagement, transaction coordination, logistics support and contract risk governance.
The firm will also support commercial due diligence and independent collateral assurance coordination through third-party providers where required.
Kwemvelo will work alongside Marula’s board and chief operating officer as an external commodities trading desk.
Marula said the engagement is expected to provide a scalable commercial platform capable of supporting increasing production volumes and future growth across multiple commodities and jurisdictions.
Chief executive Jason Brewer said Marula’s commercial infrastructure must evolve alongside its operational growth.
He said the appointment strengthens the company’s downstream commercial capability and supports its aim of building a scalable mining business able to service international customers, financiers and investors.
Kwemvelo chief operating officer Vishnu Naidoo said Marula had assembled a portfolio of critical mineral assets with significant long-term potential.
He said Kwemvelo’s role would be to help connect production with customers, logistics, financing, governance and investor confidence.
