Ripple Mint: Institutional Platform for RLUSD Access, Minting, and Multichain Bridging

Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a dedicated platform for institutional access to its RLUSD stablecoin. The company unveiled the console through its official Ripple Insights blog. Additionally, the platform is live for existing RLUSD customers as of the announcement. It combines a web interface, programmatic APIs, and webhook automation inside one system. As a result, exchanges, fintechs, and market makers gain unified control over RLUSD flows.

Meet Ripple Mint.

A unified platform for institutions to access, mint, redeem, and manage $RLUSD.

Built for scale with both UI and API access, Ripple Mint gives institutions the flexibility to automate stablecoin operations, integrate RLUSD into existing systems, and manage…

— Ripple (@Ripple) July 23, 2026

What Ripple Mint Is

Ripple Mint operates as a single hub for accessing, minting, redeeming, and managing RLUSD. Previously, institutions handled these flows through manual processes and bilateral coordination. However, Ripple states that institutional demand now requires automation and real-time visibility. Consequently, the new platform replaces those manual workflows with a structured operational stack. It also supports both operational teams through a UI and engineering teams through APIs. Furthermore, every action carries a consistent reference ID across fiat and onchain steps.

A Unified UI and API Stack

The interface gives operational staff direct control over minting and redemption workflows. Meanwhile, the API layer lets engineering teams embed those functions inside their own systems. Webhook notifications trigger at each stage of the transaction lifecycle. Specifically, events fire for fiat receipt, mint processing, onchain settlement, and payout completion. In addition, institutions can query balances and transaction status programmatically at any time. This structure supports both manual oversight and fully automated treasury pipelines.

Multichain Reach Across XRPL and Ethereum

RLUSD now operates across a wider network than at initial issuance. The XRP Ledger remains the primary anchor, with the XRPL EVM Sidechain extending compatibility. Additionally, RLUSD moves across Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain. Ripple Mint centralizes bridging between these chains within the same console and API set. As a result, institutions no longer manage separate tooling for each network. That consolidation matters because stablecoin liquidity increasingly lives on multiple rails at once.

Regulated Issuance Through Standard Custody

Standard Custody and Trust Company issues RLUSD under a New York trust charter. The New York Department of Financial Services oversees that entity directly. Consequently, mint and redeem operations flow through a regulated issuer at every step. That structure gives institutional treasurers a compliance path many stablecoins still lack. Reserves also sit in cash and short-duration Treasuries held at BNY Mellon. Third-party attestations verify those reserves on a monthly basis, according to Ripple.

RLUSD’s Growth Sets the Stage

RLUSD supply has climbed sharply through the first half of 2026. Market capitalization sat near $1.33 billion at the end of 2025. By late May 2026, that figure reached roughly $1.78 billion in circulation. April alone added around $370 million in new supply, a 30 percent monthly jump. Ripple has also extended distribution through recent moves with SBI Holdings in Japan. Meanwhile, Binance opened RLUSD spot trading, widening the token’s exchange footprint.

What This Signals for Institutional Stablecoins

Ripple Mint reflects a broader shift in how stablecoin issuers approach enterprise clients. Manual issuance workflows worked when volumes stayed small and clients stayed few. However, institutional stablecoin demand now requires API-first infrastructure and lifecycle visibility. Circle, Paxos, and other issuers already offer similar programmatic mint and redeem stacks. Ripple positions Ripple Mint as its answer for treasurers building on RLUSD at scale. For institutions using RLUSD across chains, the console consolidates what was previously scattered tooling.
