PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — President Trump says 25 gas stations across the greater Philadelphia area will lower their prices Friday as an Independence Day gift.
The president made the announcement about the so-called “Freedom Fuel Network” on social media.
He did not name which gas stations would offer the lower prices, but called for others to follow suit.

In the post, President Trump complained that gas prices are not falling as quickly as they should.
He previously claimed they would drop dramatically following the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
The price of crude oil sits at $68 as of Thursday morning, only a dollar higher than it was in late February at the start of the Iran war.
