Here’s what to know.
Are banks closed in Florida on Memorial Day?
Yes. Banks are closed on the 11 federal holidays observed by the Federal Reserve.
Be aware that some banking services may be unavailable, and planning ahead is advised. Checks deposited on May 26 may not become available and automated bill payment services may not process until the next business day.
Bank websites will remain open for many banking services.
Will ATMs be open on Memorial Day?
Yes, and you will be able to check balances, deposit cash (where applicable) and get money out as you usually do. But deposits may not count toward your account until the next day.
Are the stock markets closed on Memorial Day?
American ones are.
The Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange will be closed Monday, May 26, and open again for normal trading hours on Tuesday, May 27. NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE Chicago, and NYSE National late trading sessions will close at the normal times Friday, May 23.
The U.S. bond market will close at 2 p.m. ET Friday, May 23, and will remain closed until Tuesday, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
Markets are also closed on May 26 in London for their Spring Bank Holiday, although off-book trade reporting will be available.
Stock markets in EuroNext Paris. Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo markets will be open for normal trading.

- Sept. 1: Labor Day

- Dec. 25: Christmas Day
The NYSE also closed on Jan. 9 for the National Day of Mourning for former President Jimmy Carter.
The markets will close early on July 3, Nov. 28 (day after Thanksgiving), and Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve).
